👟 ChatGPT Now Does Shopping, Without Ads.

🐝 The Buzz: OpenAI just rolled out a new shopping feature in ChatGPT that lets you browse and compare products like espresso machines, office chairs, or skincare sets, all without leaving the chat. You can’t check out directly in ChatGPT (yet), but it’ll guide you to the retailer’s site when you’re ready to buy.
No Ads, No Sponsored Results: Unlike Google Shopping, ChatGPT’s product picks aren’t influenced by paid placements. It pulls from reviews, forums, and editorial sources like WIRED to give you recommendations based on what people are actually saying, not what advertisers are paying to promote.
Personalized Suggestions: ChatGPT remembers your preferences. If you mention you like minimalist design or are shopping on a budget, it’ll tailor future recommendations accordingly.
Visual Product Cards: Search results now come with images, prices, star ratings, and reviews, making it easier to compare options at a glance. You can even ask follow-up questions about specific products directly in the chat.
💡 Takeaway: ChatGPT’s new shopping feature aims to make online shopping more conversational and less ad-driven. It’s a move that could challenge traditional search engines by offering a more personalized and transparent shopping experience.
